Last Summer Beer Can-Habachi Race and Dinner on the Bay 5:00 pm sharp - dinner boat leaves dock - race start is an hour later. Dinner on the Bay and enjoy the fantastic summer sunset with your friends at South Shore. Interested new members are always welcome. Bring a bottle of wine or an appetizer. Shoreboat leaves the dock 5:00pm sharp. Race will start an hour later, that's when we raise a flag or two and toast the racers. See ya there . . .

This replaces our Labor Day Cruise Host Needed. This is a great trip that signals the end of summer. There will be hiking, cocktails, barbecuing, snorkeling, swimming, having cocktails, having Bloody Mary drinks on the Barramundi, relaxing, cruising in a dingy, playing games, socializing with other South Shore members, visiting your neighboring boats, having cocktails, relaxing, reading…… Well, I think you get the picture…..There is nothing like going to the Island…… Look for more details in the upcoming Sheets and e-mails…… Any member wanting to host this trip or for more information please contact John Pentecost (E-mail: jpenteccost1@cox.net; Cell: 714-815-7035.)

We're Back Hosted by Scott (the “Pirate”) Karlin When: Some of us be leav'n Newport, Wednesday, Sept 29. Others on Thursday, Sept 30, and a few on Friday Oct 1, or Saturday, Oct 2*. Great Parties on Friday Night and Saturday and Saturday Night. Return: Sunday, October 5, if ye be alive . . . . Where: Isthmus (Two Harbors) Catalina Who: South Shore members n their friends, and all the other riff-raff, and scallywags, about the harbor. How: Take ye bark, ship, er boat. Board another as a pirate crew, or stow away on the Express. What: What's to do, ye ask. . . rob, steel, plunder, great fun and profit. Then there's the party and dancing on shore til all hours of the morn Friday and Saturday night. Spend ye treasure at the Islands best restaurant or duck out the back without paying. Win the contest for best pirate dress or better, steal someone else's trophy. Do water battle with the other boats. It's Photo Night, Friday August 13. Where your most dashing outfit and have your portrait photos taken by World Famous Photographer, Chris Bliss (see www.newyorkpictures.com). There is no charge for the photo session and you get to keep the original images for printing anywhere you like. The usual cost of this type of sitting with the ability to keep the originals is well in excess of $400, and its free to our members!!! In addition to the portrait session, we will have a raffle, great dinner and party. Don't miss this one. Photos start at 5:00 p.m. Cocktails at 6:00 p.m., and dinner follows.

October 15-16, 2010 – Cruiser’s Weekend at Two Harbors Hosted by Steve and Pam Ellsworth If you survived Buccaneer Days, or if you did not get over to the Island, here is the chance to have a less stressed sail and anchorage. Cruise on over to Two Harbors and enjoy a relaxing weekend filled with seminars, exhibits, and live music. Cruiser’s weekend is sponsored by Latitudes and Attitudes. Steve and Pam typically go over by Wednesday to get the best mooring, but there is always room even if you have to anchor or make the trip around to Cat Harbor.
