Current SSYC Leadership

For over 50 years, SSYC has been providing its members and guests a long tradition of fun, friendliness, and camaraderie through its sailing, boating, cruising, racing and social events and programs.

Our club offers benefits to our members that far outweigh the modest club dues. These can seen in our "Membership" section. Our calendar is filled with boating related events such as sailboat regattas, organized cruising, and social activities such as Bucanner's Day on Catalina, Ensenda Tune Up Party, Ensenda Hospitality Suite, the Commodore's Ball, Opening Day, Holiday Parties, Boat Parades, and many others. SSYC cruises include in Harbor raft-ups, sometimes with a live band on a boat, and we cruise often to Catalina and to many local ports with the occational exotic international cruise to BVI, Tahiti or the Med. SSUC is the proud sponsor and host of the popular Hibachi Series (Summer and Winter Regatttas) as well as the Crew of Two Around Catalina, as well as other races.

Our members enjoy steep discounts from marine suppliers of products, services, and harbor boat rentals, as well as the right to participate in member-to-member equipment lending program. Our members have noted that these discounts far outweigh the monthly dues. For a limited time, we are now offering free 'Learn to Sail' and Advanced sailing and boating classes to new members joining the club. Call for details.
